MY EXPECTATIONS

The time has changed so the world is,
but my expectations about this world,
unchanged, gives me a temptation,
to wait for a world filled with love. .
I long for a day where people don’t cry
in terror, their petrified eyes never
pursue the gun points that demolished
their dreams for ever within moments.

I long for a day where people don’t
stand in queue stretching their hands,
for a packet of food when somebody,
rename them as refugee forcefully.

I long for a day where no one waits for,
a shop to close for finding a place to
sleep making its veranda a bed room,
for a night, cursing his own destiny.

I long for a day where people talk about
union, from the core of their heart, and
may walk hand in hand towards light
to build up a world without bias and chaos.

THE RAIN

When the sky is covered with rain clouds,
my heart leaps with happiness and then,
the drops start to fall from the heaven,
takes me to those days of my boyhood.

Still hear the whistling sound from the bushes,
near the pond from the guys an invitation,
to celebrate the monsoon along with water
to swim towards a world of ecstasy.

Herons and storks were waiting patiently,
on the edges of the water filled paddy fields,
shivering in drizzling continue their fishing
dreaming a delightful dinner for the day.

Under the umbrella of the clouds the earth,
would Lie like a lady in her green wet clothes,
then the western wind would blow towards
her to present his diamond laced shawl

Standing at the threshold of my native house,
I would witness their union through the veil,
of the rain, shaking the trees here and there,
he would return from our village with pleasure.

The children would run to pick up the mangoes,
lying scattered under the mango trees, then,
our elder brothers were making their minds,
to serve a monsoon dinner to cherish friendship

Those days are gone away monsoon has come again,
time has changed everything except the rain,
still it is pouring from the heights harmoniously,
presenting me the reward of a sweet childhood.
